Marmalade Cat - Clapham Common

The Marmalade Cat is situated in a modern church opposite Clapham Common where Miss Emma Deadman is the Head Teacher.   Miss Emma moved to the Marmalade Cat in September 2023 from the Marmalade Owl where she was also the Head Teacher for 4 years. Prior to joining the Marmalade Schools in 2019 Miss Emma was a Head Teacher for many years. Miss Emma is dedicated to supporting children to discover the joy of learning and instilling the key foundation skills to stand them in good stead for their future education.  She is a passionate and highly experienced early years leader.

The Marmalade Cat is a very special nursery school. The school is a warm, friendly, supportive, inclusive, and nurturing environment. The high quality, experienced staff, and low staff turnover help to make this school community extremely popular and it is often cited amongst the top ten Nurseries in London. The Marmalade Cat is dedicated to supporting children and families of all different types who bring a wealth of differing backgrounds and needs. The school strives to promote the individual and celebrates all children and each of their achievements whatever they maybe. Creativity is at the heart of The Marmalade Cat which is obvious to all who visit.  Miss Rozzy and the staff team are always investigating new ideas and concepts to enhance the children’s learning.

Many of our parents say that they make friends for life through the Marmalade Cat community and the school enjoys an excellent and ongoing relationship with the alumni.   There are twelve members of staff and four visiting staff looking after fifty children.
